Overview

1. Monitoring IMEI changes for MSISDN number ranges ("Alarm1")
   
   • The IMSI-IMEI database currently collects the IMEI used by IMSIs registering in the network.
   • This information is used to detect if the IMEI associated with an IMSI-IMEI pair changes.
   • If a change has occurred, the MSISDN associated with the IMSI must also be queried from the IMSI-MSISDN database.
   • If the MSISDN belongs to one of the ranges previously specified, the event is logged in the report.
   • The report contains the date and time, the MSISDN, the IMSI, and the old and the new IMEI.
2. Monitoring MSISDN changes of devices in the IMEI list ("Alarm2")
   
   • The IMSI-IMEI module currently collects the IMEI used by IMSIs registering on the network.
   • This information is used to detect if one of the IMEIs in the list is being used by an IMSI whose MSISDN is not in the specified MSISDN range.
   • When checking each IMEI in the list, the MSISDN for the IMSI is queried from the IMSI-MSISDN database (managed by the Sga-IMSIMSISDN / Database Loader module).
   • If the IMSI does not belong to the specified range, it is reported.
   • An IMSI white list can be applied. Transactions of these IMSIs are not reported by the system.
   • The report contains the date and time, the IMSI, the IMEI, and the MSISDN.

• The monitored MSISDN prefixes for reports can be specified in the Sga-BV_IMSISDN-DB.ini configuration file.
• The IMEI list for "Alarm2" reports can be specified in the SgaICDB.ini configuration file.
• The IMSI white list for "Alarm2" reports can be specified in the SgaICDB.ini configuration file.
• The reports are generated by the Sga-IC (IMSI-IMEI) Database Handler module. One report of each type is generated daily. A report file is generated only when there is at least one event to be reported.
• A daily email file is also generated and the email is sent by the Mail sender module along with the daily reports as attachments.

• When there is any change in MSISDN ranges to be monitored then the Sga-IC (IMSI-IMEI) Database Handler module should be restarted. In this way the module can assign IMSI for the new MSISDNs.
• When the MSISDN-prefixes are reloaded in the SGA-BV / IMSISDN-DB Console then MSISDNs which are already not within the defined ranges will be dropped.
• When the binary backup is reloaded in the SGA-BV / IMSISDN-DB Console then saved records are added to the existing ones.
• When all records in Sga-BV_IMSISDN-DB.dll should be dropped then all connected modules should be stopped at the same time.
