Event Lister module

Features

Queries events for a given time interval from event CDR's created by the Event Database Loader module
Event and/or Signaling Link filters can be set (Events are read from Sga7N_GyDB_Lister_Event.lst configuration file and Signaling Links are from SignalingLink datafile (SL.dat) defined by Sga7N_GyDB_Lister_Event.ini/[Advanced]/sSLDATFileName)
Results can be grouped based on Monitor units or on SignalingLink
Output is 'comma separated value' (csv)
If file association is made output can be opened directly from the lister module by a proper application

The user interface

When the Event Lister module has been started by double clicking on its icon the main window appears:

Details of the main window

Query interval
- only events will be queried which timestamps are between ...from and ...to value
- !: this button fills the time fields with the actual date and time
Filters
- SigLink filter
  - In this window one or more signaling links can be selected by holding the Shift key and marking the first and the last link with the mouse or they can be marked separately by holding the Ctrl key and clicking on the needed links by the mouse (as usual in Windows enviroment)
  - Select All: All signaling links will be selected from the list
  - Clear All: All link selections will be cleared
  - Save Profile#N: There is a possibility to save five different groups of signaling links with a unique name
  - Load Profile#N: Saved selections can be loaded with these buttons
  - Filter1 and Filter2: Two logically AND'ed filters for signalink link names. At most 20 characters can be defined.
- Include those, too, that are not in SigLink list: the output will contain those links and their events that are not in the signaling link list, as well
- Include those, that are Monitor-related: events that are related to a Monitor unit and not related to a SignalingLink will be included
- Events filter
  - In this window a group of events can be selected by holding the Shift key and marking the first and last event with the mouse or they can be marked separately by holding the Ctrl key and clicking on the needed events by the mouse (as usual in Windows enviroment)
  - Select All: selects all events from the list
  - Clear All: clears any selection
  - Save Profile#N: there is a possibility to save five different selections of the events
  - Load Profile#N: saved selections can be loaded with these buttons
  - Filter1 and Filter2: two logically AND'ed filters for event names
- Include those, too, that are not in Event list: the output file will contain those events for the selected signaling links that are not in the event list
Aggregation (grouping)
- None (i.e., simple sorted list): the result without any further grouping will be written out into the result file
- Daily counts per Monitor unit: daily number of occurences of events on each Monitor units will be written into the result file
- Daily counts per SigLink: daily number of occurences of events on each SignalingLinks will be written into the result file
Options
- Log input CDR file checking operations: "Checking "Sga7N_GyDB_Event_YYYYMMDD.dat" ...’ logging text will appear in the Log Window
- Include MonitorID in result list: the output file will contain MonitorID for every signaling link
- Expand SigLinkID to full name in result list: the output file will include the name of the signaling links beside the short ID
Output (result list) file
- View: with this button the result can be viewed if the *.csv filetype is associated to the proper application to open it
- Browse: the result file can be selected (if this is an existing file) by browsing the local filesystem
Status
- indicates the chekcking and searching status during the process
Do it! / Abort
- Start the searching, creates output file
- Interrupts searching
Exit
- Close the program
Restart
- Reloads SL.dat and Event List files

Event list (`Sga7N_GyDB_Lister_Event.lst`) file

The list file is placed in the same directory as the Sga7N_GyDB_Lister_Event.exe.

Section	Entry	Example	Meaning
[Events' name]			This section contains the list of ordinal numbers and the assigned names of events and its event type (ERROR, WARNING or MESSAGE)
	8002	MESSAGE, Link: PCM Frame Alignment is restored.	Assigns the "Link: PCM Frame Alignment is restored." name and "MESSAGE" type to the event "8002".

Configuration (`Sga7N_GyDB_Lister_Event.ini`) file settings

The configuration file is placed in the C:\WinNT or the C:\Windows directory. The module writes this file when it is closed.
