Section Entry Example Meaning
[General]
RecordDir d:\Recordings Path for recording SS7 network data (if Record checkbox is checked)
LogDir d:\LogFiles Path for log files
Sga47PSysPath c:\IC-Monitor\Sga47PDriver.sys Name and path of the Windows driver of Sga47P16 cards
StatIntervalSecs 900 Statistics sending interval in seconds
NTPServerAddress 10.117.144.200 Server IP address providing NTP synchronization
NTPSynchronIntervalSecs 900 Time synchronization interval of Sga47 cards
NTPMinAdjustmentMSecs 3 When the different between timer of cards and the answer of NTP server is less than this value no adjustment will be made [msec]
NTPNotifyAdjustmentMSecs 10 If the adjustment is higher than this value an alarm will be sent about it [msec]
NTPMaxAdjustmentMSecs 7200000 No adjustment if the different is higher than this value [msec]
NTPRoundTripTimeMsecs 10 Defines the maximum round trip time of an NTP request
PollerAddress 111.222.33.44 IP-address of the server running the Poller module.
PollerPort 8000 Port where Poller module accepts the connection from Monitor
KeepAlive 1 Defines that the monitor uses KeepAlive feature for network connections
LogCardEvents 1 Enable or disable logging events about cards and links.
If it is disabled events can be followed on the Card screen.
LogTimeOnScreen 1 Every entry on the screen log has timestamp.
[CardN] For every card in the Monitor unit belongs a [CardN] section containing its settings. (N must be replaced with the sequential number of the card, e.g. [Card0] for the 0th, [Card1] for the 1st card, etc.)
Id 0 The ID set on the N'th card. This can be adjusted with switches on the cards. All Ids must be different within a Monitor unit.
Type Sga47SS7 Type of the Sga card inserted into the machine
  • Sga47SS7: Sga47 card with ISA slot for SS7 monitoring
  • Sga47P16SS7: Sga47P16 card with PCI slot for SS7 monitoring
TMSObjectPath c:\IC-Monitor\Sga7N135.obj DSP code filename (and its path if needed).
It can be the followings for the differrent card types:
  • Sga7N135.obj - for Sga47SS7 card type
  • SGA-S_M-08.bin - for Sga47P16SS7 card type
AM186CodePath c:\IC-Monitor\AM186.bin Name of the file that contains the code loaded into the AM186 processors of the Sga cards This may be necessary for low voltage-level signaling links. If 0, turns the amplification feature of this processor off.
AmplifyX 1 Sga47SS7 cards can amplify connected PCM trunks if its voltage level is too low to work correct. (X must be 0 or 3.)
If it is 1, it turns on the amplification feature for the Xth processor of Sga47SS7 cards.
If it is 0, it turns the amplification off.
[SS7Links]     In this section the monitored SS7 links can be defined
  Link SS0 0/0 1
  • SS0: The symbolic name of the link what has to consist of three alphanumeric characters. It must be unique in the whole monitoring system
  • 0/0: Card and Channel id where the PCM cable contains this link is connected
  • 1: timeslot of this link
